From the original colour slide. Photo taken by a local, professional photographer. ‘Iron Barque’ was an ore carrier built in 1960 by Austin & Pickersgill Ltd., Sunderland for Vallum Shipping Co. Ltd. of Newcastle (owned by Common Bros. Ltd. and Jardine Matheson Ltd.). She was sold to a Singapore-based company in 1970 and renamed ‘Mahinda’. Broken up in India in 1987. Note the propeller in the foreground.
