William’s parents, John and Ann Skelton, had another son, John (1800-1881), who was a bone merchant and landowner living at 43 Pasture Street. He married Harriet Rushby (1818-1869). The couple also had three boys, one being George Skelton (1854-1932), artist. Note: William Joys Skelton became a ship owner. Research by Grimsby & Cleethorpes Museum.
