Chalets at Carrington Camp, Cleethorpes c1955.
An original, real photographic postcard by an unknown photographer / publisher. Carrington Camp was accessed from Carrington Drive which is off North Sea Lane, Cleethorpes. The postcard was posted in Cleethorpes on 18th July 1955. It was sent to Mister Mills, 53 Railway Cotts., Stavely, Chesterfield. The writer (unreadable name / Frank?) says that they have arrived OK. It was 4 1/2 (hours?) on bus. Ethel’s (?) got very sunburnt. The writer hasn’t yet and doesn’t want to get sunburnt. Their chalet (spelling?) is 2nd on the left. All electric gadgets inside. Kettle, cooker everything knobby and just lovely weather and lots of different things to see. The writer says that they will see the recipient on Saturday. Note: In 1920, Earl Carrington sold his entire Humberston estate which included The Fitties.
