From the Gait family album. Frank Lemon Gait is the most likely son to be missing from the photo. He was the family photographer and was probably behind the camera. Albert Gait married Kate Judith Lemon, of Brentwood, Essex, in Islington, London in 1868. The couple had four sons, all born in Grimsby; Albert Ernest Gait (1869-1945) Harry Joslin Gait (1872-1949 in Canada) Frank Lemon Gait (1874-1934) John Sidney Gait (1876-1916) The lady is Agnes Lily Gait (1872-1955), née Sime, wife of Albert Ernest Gait. John Sidney Gait of 6 Grosvenor Crescent, Great Grimsby, lance corporal of 16th battalion King’s Royal Rifle Corps, was killed in action in France in 1916. He is commemorated at Thiepval Memorial, France.
