A large, original photograph taken by Sid Burton of Grimsby. With thanks to Richard Fletcher. During WW2, the Admiralty built a large number of Motor Fishing Vessels for use as minesweepers, boom defence vessels, support tender vessels, harbour duty vessels etc. Existing vessels were also requisitioned. MFV 722 was ordered in 1943 and built in 1944 by Norstrand, Grimsby. She was scrapped in 1946.
