A rare photo of a requisitioned WW1 trawler. From the original, full glass plate negative. A steam trawler built by Cook, Welton & Gemmell in 1902 for William Grant & Harold C. Baker, Grimsby. In 1917, she was requisitioned by the Royal Navy as a fishing trawler (Fishery Reserve) and was returned in 1919. In 1940, she was requisitioned by the Royal Navy as a boom gate vessel and renamed ‘Fieldgate’. Returned and reverted in 1945. Broken up in 1949 by Pounds of Portsmouth.
