An original playbill. Violet Farebrother played the Queen in ‘Hamlet’ and Goneril, daughter to King Lear, in ‘King Lear’. The New Century Theatre was a Broadway Theatre at 205-207 West 58th Street and 926-932 Seventh Avenue, Manhatten, New York City. The theatre opened in 1921 and was demolished in 1962. During the lifetime of the theatre, it was renamed 7 times, beginning with Jolson’s 59th Street Theatre.
